Rare David the 1st hammered cut half found with my Equinox 800 having dug a couple of worn copper coins and a mixture of scrap bits I kept going for about another 2 hours and then a small sharp Signal I dug down about 5 inches and my perseverance had payed off a small hammered cut half, having not seen the design on the coin before I sent the information over to my local finds liaison officer she had the coin fully identified It has been recorded on The Portable Antiquities Scheme (uk) and it appears to be the first one of this type they have recorded.
