Well my great find was a little different than most. I have detected for years but always used Garrett equipment! We have been looking for two old septic tanks, an underground gas tank and a buried 2/0 electrical line! Well the owner was going to have a guy with GPR come out and see if he could find them for a pretty exorbitant price! Well Tuesday I got my Christmas bonus so after a whole evening of reading I thought well I cannot afford a high end Minelab so I bought a Vanquish 540 pro pack because I also wanted the bigger coil! Wednesday I took it to the first location ( septic tank ) and made sure I disabled the iron bias and found it in about 3 minutes and it was 24” deep! Same thing on the other one, the gas tank which I thought the detector was gona explode, that’s a lot of steel! Then went and found the buried cable at a depth of about 16 inches! That done it’s time to treasure hunt! This 540 is a beast! Thank you for such great products! By the way the coins and screwdriver I found on the way home outside our high school football field in about a 10 ft area and going back tomorrow!
