I enjoyed detecting an old swimming area here in Brisbane with my Equinox 600. The quality of the coins from this area always amaze me. Because the coin is burried deep in the mud , it is preserved from tidal movement and salt water. I'm aware alot of people will be horrified I tumble clean my coins but I just love how the tumble clean really highlights the preservation of the coin. Although a commonwealth penny from 1922 is not rare , i beleive the condition of this coin is rare for a detectorists find.
