Pre-Civil War Silver

13 Oct 2019

My Wife and I came back to Missouri for the weekend. Luckily I was able to get a short hunt in with the EQUINOX 800. I came to the Union Camp Site South of Cassville Missouri. I’ve pounded this place with the CTX AND THE 17” coil. Not to mention it’s been hammered for the last 30 years+ with every type of machine. I came here not expecting to find much other than camp lead, but boy was I surprised. My first decent target was a .58 cal  miniball. That alone made me smile. The next was the Silver, and it was scrambling, but would hit a good 28 and sometimes 30, but the most part 19. The closer I got to it, the more the signal cleared up to a 28 & 30. When I caught glimpse of the silver disc, I about fell over!!! Wow!!!! So Awesome!!!! It is holed and a friend of mine said the soldiers would see them inside their pockets for luck, and so they wouldn't lose them. So Cool!!! I hope you all enjoy. It’s an 1827 Mexican Silver 1Real. Thanks for looking & Happy Hunting!!!
