Persistence....

14 Nov 2013

Persistence, time, effort, and research will always pay off. Never give up on sites that are full of trash. These finds came out of a heavily hit park that is so full of trash its not even remotely funny.

Located in the northeast section of Philadelphia, there are still some great finds to be had. On November 8th, I was able to recover some nice silver, along with several wheat cents, and an early 1818 large cent. The Irish ring wasn't very deep. It was just below the surface. By taking my time and listening to what my machine was telling me, I was able to recover it.

That day also produced over 7 dollars in modern clad coins. I'd say between the clad, the old coins, and the ring, it was one of my best single days in a public park.
