I purchased a Minelab CTX 3030 from Serious Detecting and received it in three days. So I had about two days to put it together and play with it a little. On Saturday the 25th of August I got to try my new CTX 3030.
I went to a local park that had a small beach. There have been many metal detectors over this beach. I turn on my CTX 3030 and went to the setting for beach.
My first reading was a clad penny as was the next two readings. So I went into the water were my first reading was a 10 k yellow gold ring with a large green stone and diamonds.
I was thinking this is great. I pressed on in the water and got a pop top and than a clad dime and then a Silver earring. I tried to find the other one but no luck.
Continued on finding some junk and that low tone that I had with the ring I had just found and a pop top. Two from that another low tone and the reading was 1 point above the pop top.
So scooped up the sand and it was still there, so I scooped again and no sound. It was in the scoop and it was a ring but white like silver but it did not read silver. I looked at it and another 10k Gold ring with eleven diamonds. A man's ring.
I could not stand it, I had to tell someone. I went back to my truck and called my wife and she asked to bring them home and show her so I did. I looked at my watch and I had only been there 1-1/2 hours. What a great day!
