I set off on Sunday the 16th of july to a Detecting Scotland dig with my heart full of hope of finding something good. It was a bright sunny day (yes in Scotland lol) and everyone was getting lots of finds and me and my trusty CTX 3030 were probing all over. Eventually the CTX gave a cracking solid signal. I dug approx. 5 inches down to find the smallest coin I have ever seen 10mm.
The lovely coin I managed to pull out was a silver Charles II maundy penny! This was the oldest coin i have recovered to date (around 1670 as I can see no date). This set me up or the rest of the day and I could hardly get the smile off my face.
