Living out in the Wild West and being a treasure hunter One always dreams of hitting it big! After 25 years of metal detecting I finally hit it big. I had two days hunting time my first day I hit three V nickels in a spill followed by a seated dime approximately 10 feet away then another V nickel. Day 2... got a good reading didn’t recognize the number as being something I’m used to Dug a 4 inch plug and was extremely surprised to see the edge of My first gold coin also being my oldest American coin. Followed up by a barber half dollar, followed by my first seated half dollar. All in the same place in one day. I may never have a day like that again. I am OK with that!! My brother my father and I have a combined Total over 90 years of metal detecting. This is only the third gold coin we have found.. My family has been metal detecting since 1972.. Happy hunting, dream big you never know when an once-in-a-lifetime moment may happen to you!! P.S that’s one Metal detector that’s going to hang on my wall when it’s ready for retirement.
