Never hunted out...If you have an Equinox!

29 Dec 2018

While hunting an old home site that was "supposed to be hunted out", I got a solid 21 on my EQUINOX 600 at 6 inches deep. Expecting to find an Indian head penny, I was surprised to see a glint of silver. Realizing that it was a religious pendant and after a quick field cleaning, I saw that it was plated. Dropped it in my finds case and kept hunting. Once I got back home, I cleaned it up a little better and took a picture. That is when I noticed that near the bottom, it has a date...1830! The pendant is only about a half inch tall and has more writing on it but it is so small. This home site has also given up several wheat pennies, 3 silver dimes including a 1916 Barber, a silver Washington and a 1909 Indian head penny. Like I said...Never hunted out...If you have an EQUINOX!
