While detecting up on a mountain in WV with my Equinox 800 I came across a scratchy target. The targets were few that day so I decided to go ahead and dig it, I am glad I did too! About 6 inches or so deep out popped the CW token/ ID disk. I actually didn’t know exactly what I had until I got home and saw the inscription on the reverse! With help from others we found that the soldier survived the war and was buried in Illinois in 1904. He was- James B. Lane Co.E 21ST NY Griswold Light Calvary Waterford NY
