I had never found a necklace with a medallion, nor even just a plain gold one, for that matter. That changed when this heavy 14k necklace popped up with a 1999 U.S. one-half ounce gold eagle attached as the medallion! What made it even better was that my treasure hunting buddy Riptide Ron was close enough to me to see me pull it out of the wet sand -- which means that HE almost found it. If he had, I would never have gotten over it, but since it was me, I get to rub his nose in it -- which is only fair, right?!
