Mapped out a great location on a wooded area of a lake that had into turned public trails from a past private property. The location of the old homesite plot turned up nothing but heavy iron so I decided to detect near the edge of the lake. Wasn't getting too many good signals and finally stumbled upon one that hasn't given me much in the past, but decided to dig. After pin-pointing, pulled out a rusty nail... checked the hole, pulled another nail. After the third nail was found, I rescanned the hole with my etrac and it was loud and clear. Brushed away some mud to see the biggest silver edge I'd ever seen! Finally that signal paid off..... 01-40... the elusive Morgan Dollar. An added bonus of finding a Barber Half 2 feet away from it made my day!
