Matty's first gold ring out of the water

19 Sep 2017

My 11 year old son Matty went with me and a couple friends water detecting. After a few directions on water detecting with his CTX 3030 in salt water, he picked it up pretty good. He started digging 2 barber quarters then a v nickel then a buffalo nickel. He was doing great. Then he said he got a gold signal. He pulled up his scoop to find a clump in the sifter. He accidentally dropped it into the water which was waste deep for him. He then recovered it again and broke open clump of crust to find a 10k gold ring. That was the first one he ever pulled from the water. Altogether the 4 of us found 11 gold rings and Matty was a part ofone of the best detecting days ever. Definitely one to remember.

Matty - USA.
