I had a frantic call from a guy called Brett to say that his wife of four weeks had dropped her diamond encrusted 18 carat white gold wedding ring in the soft sand dunes at Lake Conjola on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. It was late in the afternoon when he called so I made the hour long drive to the location as soon as possible. When I got there Brett explained that they had half a dozen people searching the area but with no luck. I asked them to point out the vicinity that they believed the ring was dropped. I marked out the area and commenced a grid search. Fortunately not long into the search the Minelab CTX 3030 fitted with a 17 inch coil located the ring in about 8 inches of sand. Needless to say they were ecstatic. They were able to complete their honeymoon in Australia on a happy note before flying back to their jobs in Shanghai, China.
