I was detecting with my Dad in a large field where some old coppers and buttons have been found we were told I hit a 1944 merc then a ox knob. As I was heading across the field I ran into a couple that lived across the street in a beautiful 1740’s home which they invited me to come over and detect I said wow! Sure! Well the yard had been dug up so I concentrated on the back yard along the old stonewall and right away I got a great 31 signaling told the home owners I had hit a good one a coin! So I dug a small plug and whenI flipped it I saw the green staining the soul I said we have a copper!!! Pretty rare one to can’t quite make out the last date either 1795 or 1793..
