I travelled a couple of hours from wales to a large UK rally in England, , I've been on distant rally's quite a few times and never really had a good result in finds, once I had a queen Victoria silver coin, This time my hopes were high, it was a very tough morning, I found a stunning Button that someone else obviously couldn't find as it was in a one dug hole, but I found it, some bullets, horse brass was it for the morning session, after dinner I had one blank coin, some lead, then I had this strange signal that gave a 9 on screen, dug the hole , couldn't find the target, my pinpointer started playing up again, so my friend trued using his, again couldn't find the target, he left me to it and carried on detecting, I changed Battery and tried again. I'd say 8 mins was spent trying to pinpoint this target in the grass, I destroyed the plug in the search and eventually found a tiny sliver of silver in a tiny bit of dirt, I was convinced it was a rivet or a tack head, or tiny Button, Then to my shock I saw a pattern emerge, I recognized the pellets on the reverse, I shouted over to 2 friends , Hammered, it was tiny, turns out to be a farthing from king Henry VII , it's unbelievable how small it is, but in great shape, I've been told not many of these turn up. That ended up my last find of the day, felt like scoring a last minute winning goal, awesome, thanks Minelab for such an awesome machine.
