Ever since I was a boy I had dreamt of owning my own Minelab metal detector. You see my last fond memory of my dad was when he took me into a Minelab shop in Sydney. I never forgot how amazed I was by the Minelab metal detectors. This was at the time the new FT 16000!
I kept a brochure of it under my bed which I would read at night. That was a long time ago and recently I was finally able to reignite my passion when I purchased an X-TERRA 70, my first Minelab and my first real metal detector. Today was my first time out and from the second I turned it on the biggest smile you've seen was left on my face. What a feeling it was to live out my dream and feel like a real prospector. Now even if that was all you would be happy but something very amazing happened! A dream find. Two hours into my beach hunt I came upon this. An 18ct white gold ring with an enormous dark blue sapphire surrounded by heaps of diamonds. I couldn't believe my eyes I was just awe struck. All I could think was 'Thank you Jesus'.
