Stars were aligned with this ring find and return. Friend talked me into detecting this last week after work. I don't usually hunt during the week because of long work days in the summer. Wasn't hard to convince me to go. We hit a spot at the beach on Wednesday for awhile and I had an itch to try a smaller beach down the road. He stayed and I hit the water at the smaller location. Got in the water and first target was a 10k Fredrick Goldman wedding band. Friday decided to try the beach again. Was just about ready to leave when a man in a kayak started towards me. He asked if by chance I had found a ring, I said maybe but not today. He then proceeded to say it looks just like mine and showed me his which was on his key ring. Definitely a match and unique enough to know it was :) I told him I did find it and could show him a picture on my phone. His wife had lost it on June 28th. The odds of me finding that ring in a spot I rarely hunt (first target), him out kayaking two days later, while I was there and me deciding to hit that spot again was all amazing timing. It was meant to be. Plus I had to work today so he came and picked it up this morning so he could surprise his wife :)
