It pays to dig the pulltab signals

25 Mar 2019

It was my third time out detecting this week. Normally I only get out one time per week. Two of my digging buddies had joined me this afternoon and I had planned on only digging the high tones. While one buddy was digging most any repeatable signal. It was a slow day for me so I decided to join him on the lower tones. I told him I was going to see if there was any truth to a theory we had discussed about losing rings on a disc golf course. I took a walk across the open park where we were detecting and came upon a solid 12 that bounced to a 13 a few times. I thought maybe just maybe it could be a war nickel. Digging down just 4-5” to my surprise I popped out my very first gold ring. I called over for the guys to join me and they were just as amazed as I was. I had purchased my Equinox 800 just a month before, and am still learning its bells and whistles. If this is what is to come I know that the NOX will be my “Go To” machine from now on. Thanks Minelab!!!
