Well as you can see, I won the article for July in Minelab's Success Stories. Well here is another of success but then not.
We left the gold fields after a reasonably good season with Shazza lucking onto a small patch the day before we left. This was a very nice end to our 2012 prospecting season.
Travelling the Victoria Hwy to Katherine we stopped just out of Katherine for a day’s break. Getting restless, I decided to pull out my E-TRAC and have a swing around the very large and old trees.
Believe me, the first target went 12 45 and about 7 inches deep, a very good chance of being a silver.
Sure enough, out came this worn but good condition 1917 Florin or Two Shillings, I was over the moon until I saw I had scratched it with my prospecting pick. Words did not fail me and my lack of incompetence. Hence the reason for this small article, get yourself the Minelab PRO-FIND 25 pin-pointer because I am sure as hell am now.
I need a better digging tool for coil and the PRO-FIND 25, can you guess what I am using my voucher for.
Thanks Minelab!
