After a hard mornings prospecting with my Dad with little luck we thought we would detect some exposed bedrock in the creek with the Gold Monster1000. We had never had much luck with the Monster previously, but that was all about to change. After about two minutes of detecting I got a strong “Gold” indicator signal and thought I better investigate, only to look down and see a gold nugget, quite literally baking in the sun looking back at me! Suddenly we knew this was going to be a good day, we headed back upstream to the area we had checked out earlier that day and picked up nugget after nugget with the monster, some were as close as 1m of where we had been digging previously! The highlight of the day was when we dug a 6.2 gram nugget wedged in bedrock! Was our most exciting and to this day best prospecting trip ever, the gold monster paid itself off in a matter of hours! Can’t wait to get back out there!
