When hunting my favourite lake I like to start my hunts right up to the lakes shore line .The lake I hunt during the hot summers is always dropping 10 to 15 feet per week. On this particular hunt when detecting the shore I spotted a 14k gold heart shaped pendant. I happily bent down to pick it up. Continuing my hunt I got a very interesting tone. The target was in the lake about one foot from the shore. The VDI number was 1205, from past hunts I knew this was special. To my surprise when admiring the piece it was a fully detailed on both sides a one hundred dollar bill. Talk about a huge smile. Not only did I spot the gold charm but 15 feet away from it I jug up this awesome gold $100 dollar bill. I'm sure just about any detector would have found the charm but when the CTX hits the target with the VDI number of 1205 and the low tone, you almost know its gold before you dig it. I can't say enough about this machine. The only regret is not having two.
