Im jack a 16 year old boy who lives on a farm in the United kingdom and after club metal detectorists going on our fields and finding a few coins i thought that i would buy my self ine and after reading up about different dectors i decided on a equinox 600 and i love it although i have only been doing it for about a year i enjoy every minute that I have spare to grab the detector and go and ine day after i hade been going for about 8 hours with only finding a couple old rifle shells i get a strong clear high tone reading 18 on my equinox set in field mode one and i began digging and in thop of the plug lay a gold looking piece of metal my instant reaction was that i had found yet another piece of gold foil but i was wrong ! I began i remove the mud from it by brushing it on my trousers as you do and i remember the patterning that caught my eye and i remember my heart sinking as i realized the gold hammed coin that i had just found.
