I live in Florida and mostly hunt on the beach or shallow water. I dream of someday finding 300 year old Spanish treasure from the 1715 fleet. In my mind that means intricately worked Gold jewellery covered in Emeralds and Diamonds just like is on display in the local treasure museums. The Spanish treasure is famous for emeralds and that's also my birthstone, so emeralds in particular have a great appeal to me. Five months ago I upgraded from my starter detector, a GoFind66, to an Equinox 800. Since then my Nox has already found a total of ten rings and more than twenty other pieces of modern jewellery during my casual early morning beach outings. But it was the tenth ring that took my breath away and made all my dreams of Gold, Diamonds, and Emeralds come true! Last week near the end of a hunt, I hit an iffy 10-11-12 signal with some flickering iron artefacts around the edges. Being kind of tired, I almost passed it by as just another bottle cap or pull tab, but thankfully I dug the target anyway, and imagine my shock when this gorgeous 14K gold ring with a 2.5 carat emerald surrounded by 58 diamonds popped out! I didn't even believe that it was real until I got home and checked the diamonds with my tester and discovered that they are genuine! It's not 1715 Spanish treasure but I'm not disappointed in the slightest! I love my Equinox!
