Went hunting at an old ghost town site. A colonial county seat that later was abandoned and is now just a big hay field. In the area where the courthouse is supposed to have been, Andrew Jackson started his legal career in this courthouse in 1787. 1787 turned out to be my lucky number. I found a few artifacts. A thimble, two fired lead balls, a broken gunflint, button and part of a padlock. But a good strong penny signal turned out to be a 1787 Connecticut Copper Penny.
