After my great mate Edie won a new GPX 5000 detector at the Metal detecting world championship that he very kindly gave to me cheers mate. It was time to head up to the Northern Territory to chase some gold and wow what a trip. Once I arrived we headed straight out to the gold fields my mate Edie and his brother Greg got me started and sent me off into the bush to look around some old workings. I dug some trash to start with then got a faint signal on the side of and old heap from the workings. I started digging thinking more rubbish for sure as the signal got louder and the hole got deeper still thinking rubbish. I was through the pile and getting down in the original ground then the target was out looking at the pile of dirt I had dug out sitting on top I could see my first nugget and wow.
