I have always really kept to searching for decimal coins and treasure however I thought I would try something different and went looking for old silvers with a mate. Researched an area in Victoria not too far from home which was settled in the late 1800’s. On arrival it only took a few minutes before I found my first coin (1942 three pence). Once I learnt how the sandy top soil was affecting the signal and attuned to the scuttle differences, I started to consistent pull out quality coins in quick succession. Within the day I covered approximately a quarter of a football oval and was a half penny short of a ‘full house.’ The photo speaks for the rest. The oldest coin I found was an 1898 English Six pence and the coolest a three coin spill still all intact! Great day out!! #LovemyCTX3030
