First Day Out With The Equinox 800

07 Oct 2020

My first day out with the Nox 800. I wasn’t expecting too much as I just wanted to get used to the machine. My permission is a well-known Roman/Saxon site, which has overhead power lines! I couldn’t get anywhere near these lines with my previous detector, which was a great machine, apart from it hated power lines. So I always had to keep well away from them when detecting. Had it on field 2 with some settings I got off YouTube. Had a few other bit and bobs, then just as I was about to finish, out pops a Saxon disc brooch! Happy days! The Equinox 800 is a serious bit of kit, although I was fairly happy with my old machine and just fancied a change, I’m well happy I took the plunge and upgraded
