On Saturday, I hit a small hay field the West River with my new EQUINOX 800. I found a modern coin spill within the first 30 minutes but otherwise the field was pretty darn quiet. Therefore, I was excited to get a nice clear high tone and a consistent 27 VDI. I thought the copper dug was a large cent, it went into my finds pouch and I swung for another hour so. Later that day, while waiting for my detecting pal to finish his lunch I decided to take better look at my coin, that is when I saw the links around the outside and knew I had found my first Fugio!
