This spot is where a older school stood and the only silver i found here was the last time I detected it. It was a 1823 capped bust dime so I was determined to make another silver find! I decided to hunt the edges of the school yard, The first signal was a wheat penny then a old flat button . My third signal was a nice 25 that turned out to be a old kids sterling ring. I was heading towards a old path that cut through a old stonewall and I had a nice faint very deep signal. I cut my plug then checked the hole the signal was dead center so I scooped out a handful of soil and then I saw the edge of a silver half!!! It was a 1917 walkier! My oldest walker I’ve ever found I found 7 last year all from the 40’s all with my equinox so if there’s a lesson to be learned work the edges and dig those iffy faint signals you my find more deep big silver last year I found 9 silver halves and my second Morgan dollar!
