This last weekend we spent at Victor Harbor South Australia and decided to try the 3030 on a couple of beaches. This was my first try on a beach (I live in the Adelaide hills so normally an inland hunter). On the couple of outing I had a good haul, with a lifetimes supply of sinkers!!! The most surprising find was a 1947 penny in a foot of water at low tide, I was very surprised to find it had not corroded away. Also in the finds was a lead child's toy (washer woman) and a couple of rings (one 9ct).
