On an early, crisp, weekday morning a few Friends and I headed to a park I've hunted once and found a Barber dime 1892-O at, so I just knew the possibilities were there. There was one Deus, one AT-pro, and 2 Equinox 800s. We split up in 3 sections and I took the area of my previous Barber find. There were few targets, some clad, wheats, normal beach trash. I moved to an area on the down side of a path when the sound of silver sweetness rang through my headphone like the sound of birds singing. It centred narrowly, so depth was good. I dug a good plug, set the pin pointer dead centre with a positive indication my target was there at the bottom of the hole! I brushed back some dirt exposing the "ONE DIME". Thought I could have a possible Seated on my hands. Nope! Just a Barber, but a good Barber none the less. A 1903-S in dandy shape. I didn't really know what I had truly found until I Googled it a few hours later!! "KEY" date.....BINGO!!
