I found a two piece Civil War Infantry Button in a now wooded farm field from early 1800’s. Swinging in here is difficult due to all the briars and brush but the signal was crystal clear. When I turned over my plug I thought for sure I had another copper. I picked it up and soon realized it was not a copper but a brass button. After a quick rub and clean, I noticed the eagle and a shielded “I” in its breast. It was an amazing find and I’m am so have to have recovered it!
