About a year ago I upgraded to the Minelab Equinox 800. After coming from an AT Pro, it was a total new experience for me. My friend had been using the Equinox 800 for about a year and was finding some amazing finds. Since upgrading I have found several bucket list items that I probably would have never found with the AT Pro. The Equinox goes much deeper and locks on to good signals! About a week ago I gained a new permission at a recently harvested field. I knew from looking at old maps that there were once a few home sites there back around 1905. But what I found there was beyond belief! Lots of "can slaw" and iron in that field. I concentrated in a heavy iron patch, working the area slow. The Equinox 800 hit on an iffy signal surrounded with iron. Through the iron the Equinox was hitting a repeatable solid 19 on the VDI. After digging down about 6 inches, clearing the iron nails, out of the way the signal was strong and steady. At about 12 inches I pulled out what I thought was just Dandy Button. After brushing off the dirt I saw a guilted eagle. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was a rare George Washington Inauguration Button! What a find of a lifetime! I know I would have never heard that signal without the Minelab Equinox 800. What a machine! Thanks Minelab for a great product!
