I was told about a place I've wanted to detect for over a year. The place in question is an old Chinese settlement camp from when they built the railroad tracks in Northern Nevada. I tried going last year but my car literally blew up in the heat. I was finally able to get back and hunted for two hours without a chirp. My dog was getting bored so I decided to pack it in for the day. I decided to check one more bush before powering down the machine. Thats when I nailed a signal that blew my ears out. I unearthed a 1865 seated liberty dime. It was definitely the oldest thing I had ever come across. It was in alkaline for more then 150 years so it wasn't in the best shape, but I was still stoked I found it.
