Went to a local beach on the 7th March 2020 that had never opened for 2 years and noticed a small wash away area 20 meters by 5 meters and with full excitement started detecting with my Equinox 600 my best buy ever. After a few swings I got the signal that sent the adrenaline pumping but dug it as I had a serious back injury after a boat fishing accident and shouldn't have been detecting but I couldn't resist that opportunity. After a few more swings and hearing lots a coin signals I decided to give it a miss for this session as I could not dig anymore due to the pain. The next day I decided to go look again but the area was gone, closed up so that previous day was my calling as that area had never opened again. I decided to clean that black encrusted special find by putting it through electrolysis and a tumbler of which the find amazed me and fellow detectorists as this beautiful object had hall marks and turned out to be an EDWARIAN 1901-1910 Fob watch decoration my best find in a few months due to injury.
