My hunting partner Doug and I decided to do some door knocking at some old farm houses as we have found that this is a good way to meet some very nice people and get good sites to detect. This Saturday was a crisp fall morning but with abundant sunshine to warm us up. Our first site was a 1900 house. Doug scored first with a 1908 Indian and I got on the board with a 1904 Indian, then Doug got 1918 wheat and then I got 1913 wheat. A bit later I dug up an unusual item, I first thought it was going to be a token or maybe a foreign coin but it turns out it is an Apothecaries weight. It says Two Scruples which turns out to be a measurement of weight; one scruple is .333 percent of a dram. These were placed on one side of the balance scale and then the medicines were placed on the other side.
