On my second trip on a pasture field using my new CTX, I decided to detect along an old public right of way. I had a slight signal, dug down 6 inches and found one gold half sovereign. I then checked the hole and had another slight peep, only to reveal another gold half sovereign. Both are dated 1880 and are in fine condition. Nothing beats that afternoon's detecting for me.
