While I was detecting in the woods - aka button patch I found this odd shaped brass item. After some emails, they gun people tell me it is a very kewl find. Trigger Plate......one said for enfield musket, but others say it is from a Model 1803 Harpers Ferru Musket and looking at the parts breakdown, I think Harpers Ferry also. Good luck out there!
