Borrowed my mate’s E-TRAC and decided to hit an old miners camp in the Golden triangle, Victoria Australia. This is one of those areas you lift the coil and avoid due to all the iron rubbish left from two separate gold rushes back in the 1800s and 1900s. After getting the run down on how to use the detector and it's unique 'Quick Mask' discrimination setting, I was soon digging coins instead of rubbish! Here's two I got from one small area, followed by a small nugget of unexpected gold (0.5g) in one of the rubbish strewn areas!
Santa already has my Christmas list and top of the wishes is an E-TRAC!
