Sam had returned to an Early-American homestead deep in the forest and was searching a steep hill behind the old stone foundation when he hit a strong ‘18’ VDI on the Equinox 600. Expecting an old button or maybe a shotgun shell, he dug down only 6 inches and saw the flash of exposed silver. Moving slowly despite his excitement he carefully uncovered the target: an heirloom silver coffee spoon dating to the 1790’s. Sam later learned this piece is engraved with the initials of the original landowner.
