On a recent trip to some private land in Ne Victoria I stumbled across my very first Four Pence 1843. It rang up 21 or 22 on the equinox 800 I thought I may have a early penny but was pleasantly surprised. Next target was 2 Chinese coins in the same hole. 3 rd target was a big cartwheel penny 1797 and it was deep. I used the 15 inch coiltek coil for the equinox and that thing punches deep. It was well over 13 inches. And my final best find of the day was an American Seated Half Dime . 1848. It was a tiny coin smaller than a Australian 5 cent piece . That was a great find here in Australia. Apparently on the goldfields there were Americans hunting the gold. The ground was quite junky but the equinox 800 handled it no problems at all . Even with the big coil. Plenty of other great finds have come from this location.. This was my first time on the permission and I was running hot . Just like the Minelab Equinox 800 ..
