I am the proud owner of an EQUINOX 600. I am in Northern California and had the find of my life this morning. Today happened to be our 7-year wedding anniversary. Thankfully, my beautiful wife gave me a hall pass for a few hours so I could play with the new EQUINOX. I was detecting an area with some 1800's gold mining history, although no physical signs left today. I was surprised how quiet the area was, not much iron heard in all metal and hardly any trash, very few repeatable tones at all. I spent about 20-30 min with not much action, so I decided I better make way back to the Jeep. Tromping through a mushy cow pasture I heard the most beautiful sound, I looked down and noticed a solid 25 on the VDI,( park 1 mode 5 tone) best signal I heard all morning so I wasted no time and started digging. I could not believe it; I unearthed a beautiful 1857 Gold $20 Liberty coin in great condition. Surprisingly it was not very deep, only about 4 inches. I am still shaking as I write this; anyway, I wanted to share and thank you for producing such an amazing product! Every time I get out with the NOX I have great hunts, and now I have my bucket list find of a lifetime!
