On November 20th while using my CTX 3030 I made another sweet find. I live in Victoria BC and I have made some pretty amazing finds with the CTX so far but this is one I just did not expect at all. I had been detecting for a while that day finding mainly modern coins when I got a nice mellow mid-range tone and I popped this round ball out at 3"
Not over 50' further I had a very sweet high tone that screamed dig me. The indications were that it was at 2" but I had to go 4" before I actually saw some of this. Indications are that it is circa mid-1800s. The first pic is as found and the second is with just minor cleaning. I just can't wait to see what the next surprise is.
