I was out detecting on my birthday on the Sunday 23th of august in the Essex countryside with my Equinox 800 my first target i located gave a strong signal and recovered from a depth of 6 inches on investigation it was found to be a uniform button of the 41st a foot regiment pre 1855 this is now the Welsh regiment as its known today my second target was a small medieval silver hammered farthing coin this was recovered from a depth of 7 inches my third target i located was a medieval lead farm token dated to 1200-1500 AD this was uncovered from a depth of 5 inches all in all the Equinox 800 produced me some fine historic birthday presents
