Big gold and silver in the lake

Success Story

This wasn’t my first metal detecting in the water but earlier I do not have much luck. This time I tried to find some not used any more beaches or swimming holes. I tried a spot in the small lake where only the small approach road to the water remain all other old beach area was covered with vegetation. When I heard tons of iron signals and found first aluminium coin from the eighties I know it’s a good spot. On first day I found around ten modern coins from seventies and eighties and in one spot where the water reached around my belly seven silver targets. The next day I came equipped with the floating net / strainer to look for the small silver and hopefully gold signals. After 3 hours I found over a dozen of coins and only one small silver ring. It was cold this day and I was enough. I though I dig e few signals and I am going home. In the water reaching the upper tights I had a solid 18 signal but I though it was some junk and wasn’t even recording the digging any more. When I took the sand scoop from the water I saw some yellow colour and I start recording it. As You can see in the video it was a big lady’s ring around the 6 grams with the amethyst stones with the 14 k soviet markings on it dated around seventies or eighties XX century. I’m starting to like the water haunting. Minelab Equinox 600 settings were: beach 1, sensitivity 20 - 22, speed 2 ( 3 was too fast because of the slow sweep speed in the water) , iron bias 1, 20 tones, all metal ( I like to hear iron).
