I only use Minelab detectors I will never even pick up another brand ever again. Minelab is the best hands down when it comes to metal detectors. Their technology is simply unrivalled, they are built to last and if something goes wrong they have unbeatable customer service. Hands down. How do I know because I just got my Equinox 600 replaced because of water ingress? With that said it took them no time to have my package back out to me an after receiving it. I used my wife's Equinox 800 and the first time we ever went Gold Nugget hunting together ever. And let with the Equinox we both find rather nice gold nuggets for a first time. I have absolutely never gold pained, Nugget hunted or anything like it. Well I have my Equinox in gold 1. 11 inch coil now and find a beautiful .5371 Gram Nugget only there at a tailing site for 2 minutes and bam wife's turn and she smack this slightly over a 1/4 Gram Nugget within a minute of mine. This is why we only use Minelab. Now the only other form of gold nugget finding that we have where I live year-round is going to the beach and finding rings. But this was Actually a Lovely experience and frankly I believe the Equinox could be a very deadly machine finding gold nuggets. I'm going to try the 600 out. I have found tiny earrings so absolutely no reason to not find nuggets
