Beautiful Condition & Captured on Video

13 May 2011

I was hunting an old tavern sight and noticed impressions in the ground that looked like a row of trees once stood along and old wagon trail so I stared to detect that area. On the first trip I found 3 large cents. 2 were draped bust and one was a matron head. so I decided to go back the next day after a nice rain to see what else I could find. I got a signal bouncing from 12-48 1-46 and some other numbers in between. So I start to dig expecting a lawn sprinkler hear or something of the sort. Then I see the rim of a big silver coin!!!!!! I pull it out looking at it I thought it was a Morgan Dollar until the dirt fell off revealing an 1803 Draped Bust half dollar in beautiful condition!!  The best part is I captured the moment on video.  Jerry Cooper - NY, USA
