After a long search I finally found the location of what I believed to be the original Hartebees Military Hospital located behind Sartjies Nek. After 5 hunts we mostly found some 303's, Tiekie, Corn beef cans and some CO2 canisters. Although it was clear there was a camp of some sort during the 1900s, we as of yet could not conclusively say if the area was actually the hospital. After trying most areas, I decided to try one more area before we headed off. Just as I started swinging, I received a copper signal. And behold, 3 inches down, the Tourniquet and the Buckle in the same hole. Truthfully I thought it was some sort of farming equipment and it was only later, through some research, I realised what I had found. Not only the Tourniquet, but also confirming that it was indeed the hospital I was looking for.
