I decided to go to my local beach again we're I have found lots of coins and other items, so I went out for a couple of hours.
I decided to hunt in the black sand, no problem there with the Nox 800, Multi-IQ is just awesome.
Different coins were dug up and suddenly a strange one came to light.
I could see it was Chinese with the the square hole and my first thought was. Probably some lucky coin bought on the net and not a real Chinese coin because there is 7000+ km to China from Denmark.
But still curious I asked around and was told 1800, but then I found Vladimir A Belyaev, he studies Medieval Mongol and Chinese coinage.
So I wrote him an mail with pictures and received this answer back.
"Your coin is brass 1 cash cast during the reign of the Qing dynasty, period Qian-long 1736-1795, mint of the Board of Revenue, Beijing"
Just an amazing coin to find on a danish beach, so far from home and you can only speculate how it ended up here.
Best day in 2021 so far.
